Teacher's Day: the OPF will hold a press lunch with educators and students from the East

On the eve of Teacher's Day, we invite you to participate in the press lunch on “Innovative Education without Borders: 21st-Century Education Principles for Educators and Students from the East,” which will be held on October 4, 2019, at 13:00 a.m. at the Art Hub of the Information Agency “UKRINFORM” (8/16, Bohdan Khmelnytsky Str., Kyiv). 

 

The organizer is the NGO “Open Policy Foundation” with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine and the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

Students of displaced higher education institutions

The invited participant is Marius JANUKONIS- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine

 

During the press lunch we suggest to discuss:

- Main problems of access to innovative education for educators, students and children affected by military aggression;

- Science & Digital camps for students: peacebuilding through innovation and creating a 21st-century learning space for Generation Z;

- Educational needs in 2020-2025 in Eastern Ukraine: strategy and action plan;

- Training teachers and students of pedagogical higher education institutions on innovative methods of teaching: STEM/STrEAM based on the openschooling principles at Klym Churyumov International Green School;

- The formula “money follows the teacher”: risks and prospects of public-private & public-civil partnership.

 

All participants will have the opportunity to talk with educators and students from Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, who in summer and autumn, together with other educators of the regions, took part in the Open Policy Foundation’s training the Summer and Autumn Science & Digital [not] School conducted at the International Green School, in the village of Kosmach, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, for educators, students and senior secondary school students from Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine.
